Voting Information

Common Questions:

  • YOU! If you’re not registered, it’s easy. You can register online at voter.utah.gov. A valid Utah driver’s license or valid Utah ID is required. You can also send in a paper registration form and mail it to your county clerk. You can also go and register on the day of the election at the Dixie Center before voting there
    YOU MUST REGISTER FOR VOTE-BY-MAIL BY AUGUST 25TH.

    Whether you vote by mail or in person, please make sure you fill out your ballot completely. If you are mailing your ballot in, be sure you sign where required. It is very important that you vote for THREE candidates.

  • The Ivins City Primary Election will be held this year on September 5, 2023.

  • Eight candidates are running, with three seats available. The following is a list of candidates in the order their names will appear on the ballot:

    • Cheyne McDonald

    • Susan Ertel

    • Sharon Gillespie

    • Paul Bryson

    • James Barden

    • Sharon Barton

    • Kevin Smith

    • Jenny Johnson

  • These elections will be Vote-By-Mail. You can drop off your completed ballot at the Ivins City Office or at the Ballot Drop Box at the Santa Clara Library. Ballots MUST be dropped off by the close of business on the day of the election. You can also still vote in person on election day at The Dixie Center.

 - Time Frame -

The Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, September 5th, 2023*. The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 21st, 2023*.

To ensure you have a chance to vote, please make sure you are currently registered to vote. See the section below for details on how to complete the process.

*Note: In order to vote in this years elections, individuals must be registered before Oct 15, 2021. (approximately)*

Online

To register online, click the button below and select “Register to Vote or Update Registration”

In-Person

To register in person, complete a registration form and deliver it to the county clerk’s office.

Mail-In

To register by mail-in, simply click the button below, print out the registration form, fill it out, and mail it out.

 - Voting Requirements -

- Be a citizen of the United States

- Be a resident of Ivins for at least 30 days prior to the election

- Be at least 18 years old on the day of the election

- Reside in the voting district or precinct in which the person applies to register to vote

- Use a Drivers License or State ID listing your current address on file with the Drivers License Division.
